2.1.3 Instructions folder for the Hardless
2.1.3.1 Installation instructions
The Hardless System includes the inlet/outlet connections of the (BSPT)"1, therefore should be verified the diameter of the piping and of the connectors designed for the installation of the Hardless; in the event that the diameter does not fit, should be obtained the appropriate connectors. The direction of the water flow in the apparatus is very important; the system should be installed according to the direction of the arrows shown on the product. In the event that the system is installed outdoors, it should be done after the municipality’s water meter.
Disconnect the water supply faucet, and then select the appropriate place for the installation of the Hardless; minimum of installation key: 16.6 cm.
If the installation height span is less than 20 cm, it is possible to install the Hardless in any desired angle.
In outdoors installation, the system’s outlet should be installed in the water pipe that conduits the water to the house.
In the event of indoors installation: install a pouring tap over the basin; the tap should be installed on the marble surface at a convenient distance from the basin. Drill on the marble with the appropriate 13 mm driller and connect the Hardless’ outlet to the pouring tap. Wrap the connectors with Teflon or linen tape in order to fortify the connection. Verify that the drainage tap is turned off. Open the supply tap and verify that is sealed; in the event of leakage, fortify the connection until the leakage stops.
Important!
- In any case that the Ministry of Health or any other competent authority announces about a health hazard, you should behave according to the instructions including to boil the water.
- In outdoor installations where exists an earth connection, the earth connection should be securely connected by-passing the Hardless system. The Hardless system is not conductive, therefore should be installed the propitious grounding connection.
- In indoor installations under the sink, it is possible to connect the Hardless’ drainage to the trap (siphon) located under the sink. In this case, should be used an appropriate and standardized alternating current.
- The Hardless should not be installed before the municipality’s water meter, but behind it.
- In places where is likely to find leaks or fluids, it is recommended to dismantle the drainage tap and to set the plug supplied in the package ("3/4 bspt), or to order a protection box from the supplier.
- When the system is installed far away (second floor and up), it is recommended to an alternating current or a tap at the Hardless outlet, and to prevent the waste of the water imprisoned in the piping up to the house.
- The installation of the Hardless is appropriate only for places in which the quality of the drinking water is known and controlled.

2.1.3.2 Maintenance instructions
- Once a month, the drainage tap should be rotated (in the lower part of the system) during 5 seconds.
- Once a year, or 200 cubic meters, the supply tap should be turned off, and opened the drainage tap in order to release the pressure; open the lower part of the system (the filter’s container) and pull out the stainless filter. In the upper and/or lower part of the filter there is a border that should be removed for treatment. The filtering grid should be checked and cleaned as required, it is recommended to clean it in the dishwasher after removing the existing סיליפוס.
- After finalizing the cleaning process, should be completed the missing סיליפוס.
- After returning the stainless filter to its place -the direction is irrelevant- close well the filter container.
- The drainage tap should be turned off, open the supply tap and inspect for leaks. If there is a leakage, fasten well until the leak stops.
Important
- Areas where the level of non solute polluters (meaning particles) is high: repeat the drainage operation more frequently, and according to the level of pollutants in the region.
- In areas with high level of scale, with unusual level of fur formation, the level of סיליפוס should be inspected every 6 months.
- The Hardless should not be opened prior to the release of pressure, done by opening the drainage tap.
2.1.3.11 Warning instructions
- In any case that the Ministry of Health or any other competent authority announces about a health hazard, you should behave according to the instructions including to boil the water.
- The content of the filling (סיליפוס) must be produce of B.K Giulini – Germany.
